Dear Go-players,

As usual, the 36th International Paris Go Tournament will take place in Easter,
from saturday march the 22nd to monday the 24th, 2008

Biggest Open in Europe, the main event of this tournament will bring around 400
players from 20 different countries in the wonderful celebration room of the
13th arrondissement Town Hall.

We expect the best European Go players to compete for the final of the European
Pandanet cup 2007-2008, last of 20 tournaments around Europe. You will be able
to follow the top group most interesting games on the Internet through IGS.

The main tournament is planned in 6 rounds with a time of 1:30 by players and a
byo-yomi 15 Canadian stones in 5 minutes.
Rules are the European Go Federation ones applied in the Pandanet European Go
Cup (Japanese rules with a komi of 6.5 points).

Many activities are planned around the tournament and several pro players will
be present, for the tournament, game analysis or simultanuous games. You will
be able to enjoy a Blitz tournament and a party in a parisian place on sunday
night.

On top of that a real special event (IA-GO Challenge) is being prepared, with a
fight between Mogo, currently best Go program in the world, against a
professional player on 9x9 and 19x19 gobans. You will be able to follow the
IA-GO Challenge live and on the Internet through KGS.

Pre-registrations are open. It is not compulsory to pre-register but strongly
recommended as we cannot accept more than 400 players in the tournament place.
Please bring proper justification (student cards etc.) to have access to
reduced fares.
