The following message might be interesting to you:
There will be an international Weiqi tournament to be held from Aug 18th to
25th in Gui Yang city, Gui Zhou province. The tournament is hosted by the
local government and local Weiqi association.
You can join the tournament as a team (1 coach, 1 team leader and 3 players
on each team) or as a individual player.
Also there will be prize for the top 6 in team event and top 8 in individual
event. The check in date is Aug 18th and 19th and the tournament is
from Aug 20 to 24.
There was accommodation fees and entry fees to pay, but the organizer says if
the player is introduced by Chinese Weiqi Association, they only have to pay
the traveling cost and the organizer will cover his accommodation and free
entry fee.
I think it is a good opportunity especially for some foreign go fans or
players who are now in China, even someone who is planning a vocation so I
forward this message to you.
If there is any one who wants to join the tournament, please give me his/her
name no later than Jul 9th. If a person gives me his name and finally will
not come, it is ok. But it will be hard to add new names after that date.
